Vision
“Timescapes”
It is our philosophy that the interior of a home or business environment should be a space that is not only functional and beautiful, but is also a unique area that reflects a personalised vision. The aim of interior metamorphosis is to render any space into one capable of reflecting elements of ‘the client’s personality, and add to the enjoyment of the space.
PHABRIK is highly able to assist in the total transformation of any environment, through our extensive creative network that connects both local emerging talent and established master craftspeople and artists with a worldwide sourcing platform of materials and factories.
We recognize that dialogue and active listening are critical components of any transformative project; it is dialogue that takes place with the space and the materials, as well as with the clients and collaborators, in order to ensure that the client’s vision and self-expression is always paramount – while remaining conscious of budget, which should not limit creativity.
Our services can range from carrying a project through from conception to reality, or aiding in only one stage of a project. PHABRIK’ spaces and home products have been featured in Elle Décor US, Germany, Japan, Paper Magazine and Vogue US.
Sandra Sing Fernandes is founder and Creative Director of PHABRIK and her career spans the globe. She has developed products and designs for the global market, designed commercial and residential projects internationally, as well she has worked with fashion photographers such as Mario Sorenti, musicians such as Prince and Herbie Hancock, print media such as Entertainment Weekly and Rolling Stones Magazine.
Dialogue is at the core of Fernandes philosophy. “It’s a conversation with the material as much as with the space, the clients and my collaborators,” she remarks. She quickly recognised local talent and called upon master crafts persons with specific expertise to undertake commissions, as well as rapidly modifying her usual techniques in order to work with new artists and craft people. Through active listening, Sandra is able to work with her clients’ wishes and develop the means to produce a functional and beautiful environment while taking into account specific projects’ financial aspects.
This aptitude for dialogue has long produced a chain reaction, enabling Sandra to develop lasting ties with her clients, factories, and artists in many countries.
